For me this place brings back a lot of memories, because it covered a large part of my youth, where I explored, listened and bought new music, and checked out audio equipment and more.

Pop-up De Kelder, located beneath the former V&D building in Haarlem, will open its doors in mid-October as a temporary incubator for culture and nightlife. Until the end of January 2026, the space will offer club nights with DJs, art exhibitions, performances, fashion shows, and workshops. The initiative gives local creators and organizers the opportunity to experiment and offer the city a vibrant, underground space reminiscent of iconic clubs like Trouw, but in Haarlem.
Starting October 17th, a temporary hotspot for culture, nightlife, and free expression will open in the basement of the iconic former V&D building in Haarlem: Pop-up De Kelder. From the end of October to January 2026, this hidden underground space will breathe new life into club nights, exhibitions, performances, and more.
The organization is mindful of the surrounding area by enforcing strict regulations regarding noise and visitor flows. This way, Pop-up De Kelder will not only be a creative hotspot but also a pilot project demonstrating how vacant spaces can temporarily become valuable meeting spaces in the city.
